It could be argued that the iconic design feature of side blade came off with the roof; and the venting that sits in its place is an equally striking feature. The bold and wide aggressive stance of the R8 spider is not all lost, but the front/side does suffer the most from the absence of the blades. I can’t help wanting to see how well it would have looked like if Audi had tried to leave it on.
